MARADU KOTTARAM BHAGAWATHY TEMPLE FESTIVAL : Maradu Kottaram Bhagwathy temple situated in Maradu at  very near to Ernakulam  Kundannoor Junction.  Maradu Kottaram was the summer house of the Kings of Cochin in ancient times.  The main deity of the Kottaram temple is Bhagavathy.  The Bhagavathy (Bhadrakali) faces west, and poojas are offered twice in a day.  The sub deities in Maradu Kottaram Bhagavathy temple are Shasthavu, Nagaraja, Gandakarna, Ganesha and Bramharakshas. 
Maradu Kottaram Bhagavathy temple is famous for the amazing and beautiful fire works performed during the annual festival.  The Kottaram Bhagavathy temple utsavam(Festival) is called Thalappoli.  The Maradu Kottaram temple festival is organized by two teams of the temple namely Vadakke Cheruvaram and Thekke Cheruvaram and they unite together and make the festival a memorable experience. 
How to reach Maradu Kottaram Bhagavathy temple:  8 Kms from Ernakulam South  Railway station near to Kundannoor junction.  3 Kms from Ernakulam Vyttila Junction.  From the Kundannoor junction turn to  east side.From there only 1 Km to reach the Kottaram Bhagavathy temple.

March 4, 2012 Sunday:   Vadakkumpuram Thalappoli, 7.30 AM Koottavedi,  4 PM Pakalpooram,  Vadyamelam By Peruvanam Kuttan Marar, 8 PM Kalamezhuthum Pattum, 10 PM Ezhunnellippu with Panchavadyam by Kalamandalam Parameswara Marar, Kallekulangara Krishna varyar, Thichoor Mohanan, Thayambaka by Thiruvalla Radhakrishnan,  March 5, 2012 Monday: Morning 1 AM Thalappoli ezhunnellippu after that  ‘Karimarunnu’ 
March 5, 2012 Monday: Thekkumbhagam Thalappoli, 7.30 AM Koottavedi,  4 PM Pakalpooram, Pakalamittu, Vadyamelam by Kizhakkoottu Aniyan marar, 10 PM  Ezhunnellippu  with Panchavadyam by Chottanikkara Vijayan Marar,  1 PM Pandimelam,  after that ‘Karimarunnu’ .
