The 15th Kochi International
Book Festival (Antharashtra Pusthakotsavam) started here at the Ernakulathappan
Ground. This exhibition is from 2nd to 11th December 2011.The Kochi
International Book Festival is a mega event characterized by the participation
of various Publishers, Distributors, Book sellers and Book lovers. The festival
is participated by the Eminent personalities, Thinkers, Writers,
Artists, Educationalists, Scientists, Social Scientists from various walk of
life. There are about 200 stalls in the Fare. Daily speeches and symposiums are another
attraction. Thousands of people are visiting daily in the fare.
The first stall is of Mathrubhumi. Penguin, orient black swan, yurokids are the international book sellers here. The English book written by MT,'Bear with me, mother' is the main attraction in this fare. For children' the adventerous stories of Thashi 'and 'motivating school children' are also available. Kurukshetra books exibits- Siva mahapuranam,Adhyatmaramayanam,Sree vatmiki Ramayanam, Sree Maha Bhagavatham etc. One of the best seller is the book about Smt. MS Subbalakshmi written by TJS George.
